Wendy’s is spending the profits from its pretzel bacon cheeseburger on a new flagship restaurant in Dublin. It’ll honor the founder of Wendy’s, Dave Thomas, with a community room filled with his memorabilia — including the torch he carried as part of the 1996 Olympic Relay. The 4,300-square-foot temple is the first to incorporate the company’s new “image-activation’ design, with digital menus, fireplaces, and flat-screen TVs. Consider this the beginning of the end.
