Mayhem & Stout Opens Brick-and-Mortar; Pork Slope’s Birthday Party

Pork Slope celebrates its first birthday on Sunday! Get there at 7 p.m. for “Banged up Bingo,” with free drink prizes, and party till 4 a.m. with $10 Coors pitchers and a Patrick Swayze–decorated birthday cake. [Grub Street]

• Grub Street got word a few weeks ago that Mayhem & Stout, the sandwich business formerly found in the late Dekalb Market, was working on a brick-and-mortar in Murray Hill. The restaurant opened this morning and is launching delivery on Monday.

• This year’s Afropunk Fest is rocking Comodore Barry Park, August 24 to 25, with Danny Brown, ?uestlove, and a fleet of New York’s best food trucks in attendance. Pro tip: You can cut the line with a $25 suggested donation pass. [Grub Street]
