Former Dekalb Market (RIP) vendors Mayhem & Stout will open a sandwich shop at 711 Second Avenue between East 38th and 39th Streets on August 16. Steve Applegate and Jay Brown make all of their sandwiches on Caputo Bakery bread, and the initial lineup will likely include favorites like braised pork shoulder with spicy slaw and “dragon sauce,” and short rib with horseradish creme and onion confit.
