New iPad app Henri Le Worm is arguably the cutest and most significant entry in the vermiculture/children’s book canon since How to Eat Fried Worms. In this case, however, it’s not about a worm on your dinner plate, it’s a worm actually plating your dinner. And, awesomely, it’s Simon Pegg voicing Henri, who schools the user in legendary Raymond Blanc’s cherry clafoutis recipe and more. Actress Charlotte Salt created the character, and Blanc’s son Olivier developed the enterprise; they say the app is meant to teach kids more about food (and bugs), and that Henri will cook different recipes “four times a year to coincide with each new season.” Oui, worm chef.
