A Metro article is critical of the “no bookings” policy that’s been imported along with “American themed restaurants in London” in the last couple of years. Though no restaurants are singled out in particular, Shake Shack and Five Guys have been among this year’s big openings. “The joke is, a ‘no bookings’ policy really only benefits the restaurant,” the paper says, adding that it has to stop.
