Yesterday we heard from Eat Like a Man just how much of a perfectionist the restaurateur Michael “Buzzy” O’Keeffe of Water Club and River Café is, and some of the lengths he’s gone to all in order to restore his hurricane-damaged restaurants to their pre-Sandy opulence. It may have taken O’Keeffe nine months to rebuild, Crain’s reports, but the Brooklyn venue will finally reopen next month with the addition of a “chocolate room” for sweets. It will also debut basic breakfast service for the first time ever in the 70-seat Terrace Room, with a menu that includes standards like “pancakes, muffins, oatmeal and eggs.” [Crain’s, Earlier]
