Here’s a first: The owner of a Winter Park, Florida, restaurant called Barducci’s Italian Bistro & Pizza fired his staff by text message on July 4 instead of being a courteous human being and doing it in person. “I unfortunately need to inform you that I have been forced to close Barducci’s effective immediately,” wrote Gregory Kennedy, WFTV reported, in texts sent to more than twelve employees, who say they are still awaiting their final paychecks.
