The Daily Mail reports that while neither the advertising mogul nor the celebrity chef was present for the hearing, no objections were made when the first round of divorce proceedings was processed in London’s High Court today. Despite Saatchi’s ridiculous declaration that he was divorcing Lawson because she did not come to his defense after he was photographed choking her during a confrontation at a Mayfair restaurant in June, the tabloid reports Lawson in fact initiated the divorce, citing her multimillionaire husband’s “continuing unreasonable behaviour.” The divorce will be final in September. In the meantime, Lawson is working on season two of The Taste with Anthony Bourdain and Ludo Lefebvre as well as developing a U.K. version, which is set to debut in 2014.
