Here Comes KFC’s ‘Upscale’ Spinoff

Chipotle figured out a way to charge customers $10 for fast-food burritos, and competitors have been scrambling to figure out ways to make their own food seem fresher and higher-quality (and worth a few bucks more) as a result. Here’s KFC’s “upscale,” “more Millennial-friendly” concept: KFC eleven. It sounds like a 7-11 chicken mash-up, but in reality the concept shop, based in Louisville and scheduled to open August 5, will serve “flatbread sandwiches, rice bowls, salads and only boneless pieces of its Original Recipe chicken,” according to USA Today. Doesn’t sound too groundbreaking, but it does sound better than Hitler chicken. [USAT]
