Washingtonian reports Shake Shack’s newest Washington, D.C., location will open at 800 F Street next Tuesday. Danny Meyer’s hamburger restaurant will open at 11 a.m. with all kinds of festivities and some exclusive concretes. Meanwhile, the expansion-minded restaurateur tells Food Republic he’s not necessarily interested in opening a full-service Brooklyn restaurant, at least not anytime soon. “We look at neighborhoods in New York a lot in the same way as a winemaker looks at vineyards if they have a terroir,” he says. “I think the Brooklyn terroir is a very specific flavor and I love it as a patron. I don’t know that they need a lot of extra help right now because I think they are doing amazingly.” [Washingtonian, Food Republic, Related]
