Eater L.A. hears that Michael White and Ahmass Fakahany will open their first West Coast restaurant at a Culver City shopping complex called Platform, which will reportedly operate “within a glass-enclosed rooftop greenhouse that offers both indoor and outdoor small plate dining” at 56 feet above street level. A representative tells Grub Street that there’s no comment from the Altamarea Group at this time, but the chef, who opened the Butterfly in Tribeca last night and Costata in Soho last month, clearly has a lot going on outside of New York City: A branch of his pizza parlor Nicoletta opens in D.C. later this year, along with an outpost of Osteria Morini. Meanwhile, Chop Shop, the restaurant group’s first U.K. property that White himself described last night as a “casual steakhouse,” is set to debut next month in London. [Eater LA, Earlier, Earlier]
