In April, CEO Don Thompson hinted that McDonald’s was going to expand its breakfast hours, and he’s making good on his word. An unspecified number of 24-hour outposts will begin serving an “After Midnight” menu that’s offered until 4 a.m. It includes a small number of breakfast and dinner items — which means you can order an Egg McMuffin with both hash browns and fries on the side. It’s a smart move for McDonald’s to embrace its true self and give the people what they want: cheap, filling late-night drunk food. [Earlier, Earlier, USAT]
