Police arrested five 7-Eleven franchise owners in Long Island today for some serious charges: They’re believed to have trafficked in undocumented workers from Pakistan and then forced them to live in housing provided by the owners and work in the stores. And it gets worse: A few of the owners may have been stealing from 7-Eleven corporate headquarters, too. The Feds only raided shops in Long Island, but 7-Eleven stores in Virginia could also be a part of this ring. More than a dozen illegal workers are currently in immigration custody. Somewhere, the No 7-Eleven posse is plotting its next move. [Earlier, NBC]
