In addition to that novelty Vulcan Ale being bottled in Alberta, there’s now an officially licensed Star Trek wine. There are, fittingly, 1,701 cases in all, produced by Vinasa Winery in Sonoma from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese grapes. Despite this, they say it’s got a strong tulaberry finish. Artist Juan Ortiz created three retro labels based on three original episodes: “The City on the Edge of Forever,” “Mirror, Mirror,” and of course, “The Trouble With Tribbles.” They retail for $24.99 a pop and are available at Vinport.com.
