Get excited fried chicken fanciers: David Katz is coming back of “retirement” today to do a lunchtime pop-up with his homie Scott Schroeder at American Sardine Bar. And he’s reviving the highly coveted crispy-fried bird that proved to be one of the most popular and elusive weekly lunch specials at his now defunct Mémé during its five-year run. Just like the Thursday-only dealy there, today’s special at ASB offers fried chicken, a biscuit, and an ice cold bottle of Miller High Life for just $11. The birds start chirping at 11 a.m. and will be on until they run out which will most likely come much sooner than anticipated. Better clock out for lunch now.
