Two Compton locals were busted on Monday while conspiring to rob a Burbank Carl’s Jr. of its kitchen grease. Ronnie Bolton and Lionel Bowden were spotted hanging out behind the fast food restaurant, lurking by the location’s grease tanks, by police. After trying to give the cops the slip, the duo was stopped at a nearby gas station, their truck’s bed holding two huge containers with siphoning hoses covered in grease. Both guys were booked on $20,000 bail for their scheme, which could have yielded them three-dollars per gallon. [Burbank Leader]
