Cardiff Giant, the hospitality company behind The Hudson, The Churchill, and Clover Juice Bar, is concepting a new restaurant in Downtown’s Arts Districts. The L.A. Times reports that David Nayfeld, former senior sous at New York’s Eleven Madison Park, will head up the restaurant, which is currently nameless. In the meantime, Nayfeld, who worked his way up the ladder at restaurants including Nobu in New York, San Francisco’s Aqua, and Las Vegas’ Joël Robuchon at The Mansion, will be found cooking a six-course dinner with Michael Voltaggio at .ink. On June 4, Nayfeld will break his L.A. cherry by collaborating with the Top Chef winner and giving the city a glimpse at what he does when given his own reigns. The 6:00 P.M. dinner, priced at $125 with $75 wine pairings, may be a little steep for a guy L.A. isn’t even familiar with. Still, if you’d like to be the first on your block to sample his work, reservations can be made with a credit card at 323-651-5866.
