• PS 244, an elementary school in Flushing, has decided to go all-vegetarian with its lunch menu, making it the first traditional public school to do so. The change came into effect yesterday with a meal of black bean and cheddar quesadillas served with salsa, red roasted potatoes, and steamed broccoli. • You might want to go cold turkey on turkey! According to a lab analysis by Consumer Reports, more than half of ground turkey is contaminated with fecal bacteria.
