Amy Poehler made a brief return to the Weekend Update news desk on Saturday Night Live, and one of her bits had to do with the NIMBYs trying out oust Bacon Bacon from its brick-and-mortar space on Frederick Street. The comedy, of course, being in the fact that some of them have complained about the bacon smell. “It’s gonna be really tricky to walk up to a cop and complain that something smells like bacon,” quips Poehler. Friday was their last day for the time being, but they will get to plead their case to Planning in July. A petition in support of Bacon Bacon staying put currently has over 2,000 signatures.
