It’s about to get the locavore treatment.

Off the Menu reports that the ex-Harrison and Gusto chef, who spent some time off the line to compete in the Next Iron Chef: Redemption last year, will reopen Chelsea’s iconic Empire Diner space with a new culinary direction by the end of the summer. (The last incarnation of the classic greasy spoon, called the Highliner, closed in December.)
