As recently as January we heard that the long-planned Oakland location of SoCal-based Umami Burger (2100 Franklin Street at 21st) was coming by May. Now Diablo reports that the opening will be “more toward the end of the year,” with no explanation for the delay. Perhaps owner Adam Fleischman is just too busy dealing with the Palo Alto expansion and the six locations he has planned in New York. [Diablo]
