It seems that the brands and menus in Guy Fieri’s chain restaurant empire are interchangeable. Today we get word via the Sacramento Bee that he’s closed the location of his “rock-and-roll sushi BBQ” concept Tex Wasabi’s there (2234 Arden Way, Sacramento), and is immediately reopening it today as an outpost of his other brand, Johnny Garlic’s. This brings the number of Tex Wasabi’s locations down to one, which is in Santa Rosa, and the Johnny Garlic’s count up to six, with one location already in nearby Roseville. The menu has stuff on it like “Key lime calamari,” which is made with regular limes, not Key limes, and lamb sliders dubbed “Lambda Lambda Lambda Sliders.” There is no Donkey Sauce to be found, but there is a section of the menu called “Off Da Hook Seafood.” Obviously.
