Taxes. They’re painful. Particularly if you owe money today, which we’re sure many of you do. Allow us to offer some suggestions for where to save a few dollars, at least today, whilst drowning your financial sorrows — or sorrows for our friends in Boston.

Bullitt/Tonic/Lightning/Mayhem/Soda Popinski’s/Wild Hare: The entire bar empire of they guys who own Bullitt and Tonic is doing a $2 drink deal today. You just have to mention Thrillist to get the deal. Only one per customer per bar, though, so this may require some bar crawling. [Thrillist]

Lark Creek Steak: Please note that this deal isn’t confined to Tax Day or even this week, but Lark Creek Steak is now offering $2 martinis at lunch, for those who really want to end the day early. The deal comes with the purchase of an entrée, and the martini must be made with either Stoli or Hendrick’s.

Le P’tit Laurent: Sunday to Thursday, now through April 30, this Glen Park bistro is offering some very cheap prix fixe options. For $10.13 you can have a two-course menu with options includin soup, salad, or escargot for a first course; and zucchini ravioli, sauteed bass with mushroom risotto, or six-hour lamb shank with rosemary sauce for a main course. For just $2 more you can have dessert, too.

Presidio Social Club: They’re doing a Tax Deal which gets you two of their well crafted cocktails for $15, and the deal gets better if you want to eat, with an additional steak frites entree for $15 more.

Royal Exchange: The popular FiDi bar is doing a Tax Relief Happy hour from 3 to 9 p.m. with $5 cocktails, and if you mention “Uncle Sam” to a server, you’ll get a free appetizer too. (Limit one app per table.)
