We have no idea who the first lunch customer was (we’ll watch Yelp for his report later today) but Sumi Robata Bar, one of Chicago mag’s recently named best new restaurants of the year, kicked off lunch service today. Their artisanal Japanese cuisine is available from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a new $15 bento lunch including a grilled item of your choice over rice, plus miso or chicken soup, a mizuna green salad, and a seafood croquette. Other dishes from the regular menu as well as the full bottled cocktail and tea list are available. So if you haven’t been in for dinner, you can at least swing by for a taste of what you’ve been missing.
