New York Times cocktail scribe Robert Simonson admits that while he hadn’t been to San Francisco since 2006, the city remains “New York’s only real rival for American cocktail supremacy.” Back in 2006 he wouldn’t have found too much here besides Bourbon & Branch and The Alembic, but this time he hits fifteen of our best booze spots, including “bar of the moment” Trick Dog, Wilson & Wilson, the Hideout at Dalva, Cantina, and Smuggler’s Cove. All told, he went on quite the four-day bender, and our liver aches in empathy. [NYT, Related]
