It’s not just the Red Hook vendors and Gowanus Yacht Club gearing up for warmer weather: Crain’s reports that Rockaway Taco will open for its summer season next Friday, May 3. Chef-owner Andrew Field says there is still plenty of post-Sandy salvage and cleanup to do on Beach 96th Street in the next seven days, but the painters, plumbers, and surfers will make it happen.
