
When nothing else is happening on Monday night, there’s even odds that something pretty impressive is happening at the every-other-Monday Amigos of Pintxo fundraiser/pintxos party at Barcito. In this case, how about two of Chicago’s top name chefs— Paul Kahan (Blackbird et al.) and Matthias Musho (Yusho, Billy Sunday) whipping up small bites to benefit Pilot Light, an organization they founded which aims to bring awareness of food and nutrition to schools. (They’ll be joined by Barcito/Tavernita chef Ryan Poli, who’s also involved with Pilot Light— because you can’t spell Pilot without Poli.) $25 gets you in and all the pintxos you can eat, plus the DJ stylings of vinyl hound Kahan and Merges; it’s from 8 to 10 p.m. tonight at Barcito.
