Henry’s Tacos, the 51-year-old Valley destination for hard-shell tacos, house-made hot sauce, and $3.25 taco burgers, is now reopen in a new Studio City location under the new ownership of Omar Vega, one of its long-term employees. Thrillist shows us the new stand, placed right across the street from the location it was forced from. No longer bearing its famous 3-D Googie signage, a flatter banner with the restaurant’s familiar old font is there instead, with patio seating and the familiar menu of gringo tacos and cheap burritos. In a curious turn of events, the old Henry’s location is itself becoming a taco joint, as Zagat spies signage for Hollywood’s Cactus Taqueria to take over for its third link in the local chain.
