First, Dan Delaney brought an outpost of his Brooklyn barbecue shop BrisketTown to the High Line, and now we hear that Bill Fletcher and pitmaster Matt Fisher will open an outpost of their Gowanus restaurant Fletcher’s as part of the larger open-air market coming to the massive redevelopment of Pier 57 within Hudson River Park. The new Fletcher’s stand will serve sandwiches and sides for lunch and during early evening hours when it opens next month. To keep up with the demand and to supply all that chopped pork to their new seasonal location, the guys, who also just starting serving tacos in Gowanus, are now bringing in a second barbecue pit.
