This three-day event, which runs from May 3 to 5, is worth checking out. Aside from a pop-up shop at the Wythe Hotel lobby with 200 food books and independent publications, there’s also an entrepreneurial pitch competition and a coffee crawl through Brooklyn. One stand-out event is a panel on foraged food with Aska’s Fredrik Berselius and professional forager Evan Strusinski — and there are many others on how food relates to tech, fashion and design, modern farming, political conflict, labor, and enterprise.
