Occasions are few and far between when Grub gets football-related flack. But today we received word from Eagles HQ that tight end Brent Celek is opening Prime Stache, an “American bistro” in Old City on April 29. It replaces the 870 Lounge at 110 Chestnut Street. Details are limited. But what we do know is, the place aims a little higher than the hot dog and sausage concern Celek launched under the same name last year in North Wildwood. “American cuisine and completely different from the old concept at the Jersey Shore,” was all we could get out of him.

From what we can gather, the restaurant and bar will have a pervasive mustache theme running through it, and serve everything from pork belly grits and Sriracha wings to steak au poivre and cedar plank salmon. No chef has been named, but whoever wrote the menu scored a touchdown when they named the pulled pork sandwich “Ron Burgundy.” Check it out below.
