
With onions, thyme, and basil, and pretty lettuces all in a row. Sarkis Vartanian’s Downtown cafe, Daily Dose, is in the midst of growing its own edible garden in the charming restaurant’s courtyard. The garden was personally planted by a customer of the cafe’s, lining the brick path with vegetables and herbs for Daily Dose as spring brings the seeds to maturity. Vartanian, for his part, is super-stoked about the sprouts, announcing, “I cannot wait to start serving food grown in our own front yard. We’re dedicated to using only the freshest and unprocessed produce available, and this garden will provide perfect ingredients for our menu.”
