DNA Info spotted public records information, and subsequently confirmed it with Alderman Joe Moreno, suggesting big news for fans of Wicker Park’s most beloved Bakersfield-themed vinyl-playing taco bar: Big Star will be expanding into the lot and building next door (including the area where the Big Star truck parks most of the time). Reportedly, the expansion will include changing around how the walk-up takeout window works, which we would guess also means expanding the kitchen a bit to handle the increased capacity.
