So, some of you may know this already, but The Chapel (777 Valencia, formerly referred to as Preservation Hall West) is quietly open with a fully stocked bar, cocktail program, and a bar menu of snacks as well. The team has been pretty hush hush as far as food media is concerned, but we recently noticed a menu go up in the window in what we thought was just a music venue for now, with a bar. Turns out they’re serving stuff like truffle arancini, a couple of flatbreads (chorizo shrimp, romanesco and olive), and a shrimp po’boy, and a “full menu” is promised soon when The Chapel restaurant opens, which from the looks of things is still a while off.
