Sprinkles, the L.A.-originated confectioner that once ensnared Honey Boo Boo in the cloying claws of an ATM machine, expands to Downtown tomorrow with the debut of a shop at the new Figat7th shopping mall. Starting at 9:00 A.M. tomorrow, Sprinkles will do as it always does at its grand-openings and hide choking hazards golden tickets into ten of its cupcakes, awarding each finder with a $100 gift card throughout the day. Owner and Cupcake Wars judge Candace Nelson will be on hand from 11:00 A.M. to noon to shake hands and kiss babies. This will be the chain’s fourth local store, counting the Sprinkles Ice Cream parlor that opened in Beverly Hills in 2012.
