Live at the Rrazz, the music venue and nightclub formerly known as the Rrazz Room, has had some difficulties in its new digs at 1000 Van Ness since moving and reopening extremely fast this past January. They temporarily closed in February following some issues with sound bothering their neighbors. Today we hear that the earlier reported noise issues (which sits on the mezzanine of the building, with the AMC theater upstairs) will not be resolved until April 30 at the earliest. They will, however, be going forward as planned with next week’s already announced shows featuring Broadway vet Patti LuPone, from March 19 to 24 — it seems the Entertainment Commission, and/or their neighbors, took pity on them for this one, which should be a decently big draw amongst music theater fans. All other engagements have either been canceled or relocated. Daytime and earlier events, like their Sunday brunch and weekday happy hours, will be allowed to continue. Owners Robert Kotonly & Rory Paull say in a statement that they would like “thank our loyal followers for your concern and good wishes during this difficult time of transition.” [Earlier]
