Not only is the new Rrazz Room, dubbed Live at the Rrazz, partially disabled by a sound issue right now, but they’re about to get a direct competitor on the cabaret circuit, back in their former digs at the Hotel Nikko. Leah Garchik is reporting that New York cabaret star Michael Feinstein has signed on to open a San Francisco branch of his popular, upscale NY club Feinstein’s in the former Rrazz space, which is on the second floor of the hotel. Feinstein’s has long been a place where young Broadways stars, as well as established masters like Betty Buckley and Linda Eder, go to perform intimate shows. Hotel manager Anna Marie Presutti confirms the news, and says Feinstein’s will open this spring. [Garchik/Chron, Earlier]
