Last fall, Night + Market chef-owner Kris Yenbamroong cooked his street-style Thai in New York, only a few months before making the 2013 list of “Rising Star Chef of the Year” James Beard nominees. On April 5, New York is returning the favor, as Beard winner Andy Ricker, endowed with a few outposts of his popular Portland Thai restaurant, Pok Pok, in NYC, will visit Night + Market for a Northern Thai dinner in celebration of Songkran, sponsored by Singha. Unfortunately for most of us, the dinner is being kept extremely private. But out of the goodness of Yenbamroong’s heart, the chef is making a very small number of seats free to the public, to be selected by the restaurant.
