Help the Pizza Moto Team Restore an Ancient Oven in Red Hook

Neapolitan-stye pie-makers Pizza Moto haven’t ever needed a brick-and-mortar location, since their handmade stone oven is affixed to a flatbed trailer and goes where the pizza needs to go. Partners Adam Shepard, Anna Viertel, and Ben Savlov were looking to put down roots, however, and even located a retail space at 338 Hamilton Avenue underneath the the elevated Gowanus Expressway that just so happened to have an immense brick oven hidden behind a rear wall. They’re now looking to restore it to working condition and start making pizza on the Red Hook-Carroll Gardens border. Check out the story of their quest, straight ahead.
