We just got an update on the long-awaited Cole Valley spinoff of Mamacita, Padrecito, in the former Eos space, from the team of Nate Valentine, Sam Josi, and Stryker Scales. They’re hoping to open by Sunday, March 10, though that could push until Tuesday the 12th, and we have some more menu details to share now. The restaurant seats a total of 100, with 75 in the dining room and the rest in the bar area, plus twelve seats outside. The food menu, from Josi and executive chef Luis Contreras, will be, like Mamacita, a mix of “elevated taqueria” fare that transcends monikers like Tex-Mex. The goal, they say, is “reinventing the spirit and flavors of Mexico in a way that appeals to our modern tastes, environmental conscience and our high expectations for quality.” Below, the full cocktail list from bar manager David Ruiz.

We should have some preview photos and food menu for you in the coming days.
