Remember Mission Burger? The short-lived pop-up burger stand behind Duc Loi started by Mission Street Food’s Anthony Myint and a then unknown Danny Bowien? Well, the space it formerly occupied at 3417 18th Street is getting new life in the form of Linea Caffe, a new project from Ecco Caffe founder Andrew Barnett and Myint himself. As the Scoop reports, it’s an espresso bar where Barnett promises espresso that’s “a little fresher and a little sweeter” than what we’re currently seeing around town. And Myint will be using the cafe as an incubator for two new concepts he’s been working on, GreenSalads and Lt. Waffle. The former will feature to-go and tossed-to-order salads with a bevy of fresh ingredients (“Kale is not a passing fad,” writes Myint), and the promise of housemade ranch dressing, among other things. Lt. Waffle, meanwhile, will be all about Brussels-style waffles, both sweet and savory. They’re aiming for a debut in May or June. [Scoop]
