Landmark Century Theater Looking To Add Food and Drink

Nothing makes us hungry for nachos like the films of Michael Haneke.

It’s kind of like a building’s version of Groundhog Day. First the Century Theater was a theater. Then it became a mall. Then it had a fancy food court called Eatzi. Then it had arthouse theaters and the mall and the food court closed. And now the theaters are looking to add food and drink, in a bid to increase traffic at the otherwise somewhat empty vertical mall. Precise plans are being kept under wraps by the theater chain, Landmark Theatres, but the general gist of adding beer and wine and nicer food to an arthouse chain isn’t terribly mysterious, with that other, unrelated Century Theater in Evanston among several area theaters which have such offerings.
