Fairway’s Passover Seder; Easter Sunday at Gemma

• For Easter Sunday, Gemma is offering a special three-course dinner. Enjoy a salad of spring greens, roasted leg of lamb, and pastiera napoletana (berry-studded Italian cheesecake). For reservations, call 212-505-9100. [Grub Street]

• This Sunday, midtown Italian spot Abboccato will launch “Return to Red Sauce,” a three-course prix fixe menu focusing on home-style Italian cooking. For $45, feast on the classic Italian fare chef Jim Botsacos grew up with, such as rigatoni, antipasto misto, and zeppole. An optional wine pairing is also offered for $25. [Grub Street]

• The 92nd Street Y will host an evening with Steve Jenkins, Fairway’s “Grocer Extraordinaire” and author of The Cheese Primer. Join food historian Alexandra Leaf in a conversation with the artisanal cheese pioneer as Prosecco and hors d’oeuvres — including cheese, of course — are served. Tickets are $29 and can be purchased here. [Grub Street]

• And Fairway Market will bid you a “Happy Pesach!” at its second annual Passover Seder from March 25 to 26. At the market’s Upper West Side Café & Steakhouse, there will be traditional holiday fare like matzo balls, braised brisket, and potato pancakes. Seder plates and Haggadah will also be provided. Tickets are $45 per person and $25 for kids; call 212-994-9555. [Grub Street]
