Following the news that Shojin is taking over for Sazon and Eater’s recent report that a Scandinavian restaurant named Gravlax could be headed for the corner space next door, it’s clear that the intersection of Centinela and Washington are heating up to become a booming new stretch building on the success of A-Frame, Waterloo & City, and Corner Door. Joining the fun in the next few months will be Patricia Tsai’s bean-to-bar chocolate boutique Chocovivo, which just posted signage at 12649 Washington Blvd, following a little design input and advice from Facebook fans.

An opening date is yet to be specified, though Tsai promises that not only will this be the place to buy Chocovivo’s pure and blended bars, nibs, powders, and butters sourced from Tabasco-grown beans, but also a destination to watch the chocolate be made in the same way it was nearly 2,000 years before Fry & Sons and Cadbury came into the picture.
