Remember Little Beast, the pop-up at Le Petit Beaujolais lead by former Chateau Marmont sous chef Sean Lowenthal and his photographer-agent** wife Deborah Schwartz? Grub Street learns that these partners in life and crime are opening up a more bridled version of Little Beast in Eagle Rock, taking over the former home of the city’s recently lost Larkin’s.

Lowenthal, who left Carolyn Spence’s side at Bar Marmont and Chateau Marmont in November, plans to preside over a restaurant serving what they label “progressive American comfort food.” While the couple’s past pop-up dishes included an amuse bouche of edamame hummus, crab mango tostadas, and caprese spaghetti, among the many varied and seasonally-spiked plates, the new version of Little Beast plans on serving dishes that may include BLT greens with canided bacon, heirloom cherry tomatoes, plus shrimp and yellow grits with manchego cheese and tomato-cucumber mint salsa, and caramelized apple bruschetta with goat cheese.

Titled after the couple’s nickname for Schwartz’s son, Little Beast is currently looking towards its opening in late February or early March, and yes, there will be beer and wine.

Little Beast, 1496 Colorado Blvd. Eagle Rock.

**This post has been corrected as we earlier said Schwartz was a photographer, when she is in fact an agent to photographers.
