Pod, the Starr fleet’s flashiest and most futuristic vessel, just updated its menu, adding a bunch of new plates to the already voluminous offerings. Additions include a 72-hour beef short rib, grilled on the robata and served with a rich Japanese curry, hot peppers, and herbs; sizzling pork tenderloin, with a Korean galbi-inspired sauce, sweet onions and sautéed greens; and a tea-smoked duck breast served with a braised duck leg and Japanese kabocha squash spring roll. With its arrival at the University City sushi spot also comes some all new happy hour action. In addition to the food and drink deals — $4 beers, $6 cocktails and wines by the galls, and $5 bites — offered nightly from 4 to 6 p.m., Pod’s is introducing a new late night happy hour.
