
Last year, former Eccolo and Bacar chef Michael Mauschbaugh started popping up at 24th Street’s Sugarlump coffee lounge (2862 24th Street, at Bryant) under the name Sous Beurre Kitchen. He began doing mostly small plates, which Jonathan Kauffman reviewed and called “carefully made” and “assured.” Now the Scoop brings word that Mauschbaugh has signed a lease for his own restaurant right down the street at 2704-2706 24th Street (at Potrero). Sous Beurre Kitchen should be opening there next summer, following some more poppings up around town, and the last appearance at Sugarlump will be on December 14. [Scoop]
