In an interview with Zagat, Harvard & Stone, Pour Vous, and La Descarga mastermind Steve Livigni admits a place in his heart for “shitty places” and picks a few favorite cocktail haunts that he doesn’t own himself. He also confirms that he’s going to add some relief to the Westside, where the libations scene has slowly improved with the introduction of spots like Freddy Smalls, Tasting Kitchen, Oldfield’s, and Copa d’Oro in the past few years. Livigni tells the blog, “We are 99% sure we have a space on the Westside for something similar to Black Market. It’s a medium-size space in Venice - can’t tell you exactly where yet - but it will either be a Black Market or similar.” The barman also hints that Black Market’s Top Chef alum Antonia Lofaso will be behind the menus.
