Oh Rats! Venice Restaurants Called Out For Rodent Infestation

Certain vermin are just a given when it comes to big city living. But that fact doesn’t really take the shock away when you learn a place you’ve recently eaten has been visited by Ben and friends. Venice Patch is now naming names, mapping out a rash of area restaurants that were closed in the last two months by the Health Department over rodent harborage and/or infestation, even placing Palinesque stop-signs as place-markers. Some of the called-out places don’t really surprise us, like Boardwalk-bound Big Daddy’s Pizza or Brickhouse Cafe (under the name RC’s Kitchen). But we’re not necessarily strangers to Gaby’s and typically see Sauce on Hampton packed with the squeaky clean set. Then again, we know a trendy Abbot-Kinney restaurant that escapes this pesty promulgation despite the furry little friend we’ve watched pop up from its bushes to skank to the resident selector. But don’t worry, we’re not gonna squeal.
