Paris Club Picks Alex Ageneau as New Chef

With the departure of former Tru chef Tim Graham from Paris Club in the early summer, the River North French-themed hotspot has been without a lead chef… not that its crowd would necessarily notice. Give the Melman Bros. props for taking the food seriously when they could get away with not doing so, though, as they announce their new executive chef. He’s Alex Ageneau, born in France and a veteran of such places as The Royce in Los Angeles, Pierre Gagnaire’s Sketch in London and Sinatra at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas. But the most interesting stop on it for Chicagoans is a brief one: a stage right when he first came to America at Les Nomades, under Roland Liccioni. On paper at least, it sounds like he knows how to blend the glitz with the Gallic, so we look forward to seeing what he brings to this popular spot.
